Light painting can be traced all the way back to 1889. It’s a process that mashes up a single light source with long exposures that trick the camera into taking pictures of what look like pencil sketches. Pixelstick; a new device developed by Bitbanger Labs, takes it one step further. The portable device is comprised of 198 colour LEDs that read whatever images you want to display from Photoshop and allows you to manipulate them in front of wherever you choose to shoot. The results are extraordinary. Check out some of the images below and watch their Kickstarter video for more.
